We were in Fussen which is southern Germany and we needed to turn in the rental car in Nuremburg 191 miles or 307 kilometers away. Our hotel started serving breakfast at 7:30 am so we would be leaving at 8am. The car was to be turned in to the rental place by 10:30am but we had to drop off luggage at the nearby hotel and fill up first. We would have to average 77 mph or 124kph including dumping the luggage getting gas and going through little towns. No problem! Never could have done that in the US.

I had so much fun driving in Germany. Everyone is polite. They follow the rules i.e. no passing on the right and stay to the right unless passing. What a concept! I was topping out at 180 kph or 112mph but that was as fast as the rental car could go. I told Marna next time we need to upgrade to a Lamborgini! She said it would be cheaper and safer to pay the late fees😞
